5 Easter Eggs You May Have Missed in The Legend of Lara Croft Season 1
Nov 1, 2024
We asked showrunner Tasha Huo for her top 5 Tomb Raider easter eggs from Season 1. Check out her responses below and see if you found them all!
As a huge fan of the Blood Ties DLC, learning more about Lara’s childhood inspired me to incorporate elements of Lara and her family into various aspects of the show – the pamphlet in episode 1 presented an opportunity to include a few allusions to some those elements, with the Benjamin Croft Bust being one of them.
No matter if it’s Classic Tomb Raider or the Survivor trilogy, if there’s anything Tomb Raider fans are familiar with, it’s the dangerous animals Lara must face… and the terror that comes with it. Bears in the games have always scared the s**t out of me as a player. I’d always need a breather after fighting a bear.
What better way to commemorate the Survivor era than to include the ship that started Lara on this wild and crazy journey of being an adventurer (and what a way to start it was!)
In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Etzli promised he’d go to Jonah and Abby’s wedding. There was no way I was going to let him break his promise now!
This wedding portrait of Amelia from Blood Ties felt like a great peek into her life that we rarely see. It sparks a curiosity of how much Lara’s mother influenced who she is today. Though subtle, this portrait encapsulates much of what Season 1 covers in regards to Lara figuring out how she wants to move forward as a Croft.
