Lara's Most Iconic Lines from Tomb Raider I-III Remastered
Mar 11, 2024
Lara Croft is known for her straight to the point attitude, disarming enemies not only with her guns, but also with her sharp wit. Today we will revisit some of the most iconic lines from Tomb Raider I-III Remastered.
When reaching the entrance to St. Francis' Folly, Lara remarks on Pierre's less-than-environmentally-friendly behavior after discovering a discarded can of beans.
Upon finally realizing Dr. Willard's true intentions, Lara directly threatens him, pointing out his mistake in sending her to collect the meteorite artifacts for him. Willard gains the upper hand by choosing the best option in that moment—incapacitating Lara briefly by flipping his table onto her and making a swift escape, proving that his timing may not be so bad after all.
After defeating Sophia's mercenary, Lara begins to interrogate him. The mercenary briefly thinks he's gained an upper hand upon reaching his weapon, only to overlook the fact that he's standing in the way of a giant bell. This oversight sends him plummeting to his demise. During their exchange, he admits that he could retire from defeating Lara alone, which is why Lara's final remark cuts even sharper.
The exchange between Fiamma Nera member Claudio and Lara is laced with witty quips. Right from the start, Lara asserts herself as someone not to be trifled with. The encounter culminates with Claudio taking her seriously enough to resort to drinking poison, choosing to carry his secrets to the grave.
The first and only time Lara breaks the fourth wall in-game, addressing the player directly at the end of Tomb Raider II. She tops it off by firing the shotgun right at the camera, sending a clear message that she’s not to be messed with.
