Tomb Raider I-III Remastered: Outfits Ranked
Mar 6, 2024
Tomb Raider I-III Remastered features a variety of stylish and practical outfits designed to suit the array of conditions Lara faces on her adventures.
Ranking these outfits was not an easy job, as they are all great in their own way. To make the list more interesting, we won't be ranking the classic outfit since it's the one that started it all. It’s the most recognizable, iconic outfit deserving nothing less than first place.
So, let’s start with the Croft Manor ones!
While the outfit is perfect for workouts, the monotone color palette is a little less interesting than the others, so we’re placing it last.
The outfit was designed to complement the interior design of Tomb Raider III’s Croft Manor. It is the same as the Nevada outfit, with the only difference being the use of a different camo color. Which do you prefer?
This is the outfit that introduced players to Lara’s humble abode. Extremely practical and stylish at the same time. However, it's for indoor practicing only, as Lara is barefoot.
The outfit does the job of keeping Lara warm in the icy Antarctic conditions. The biggest positive is also the biggest negative – the bright orange jacket makes Lara stand out against the white-bluish landscape. Great for aesthetics, not so great for stealth!
The Bomber is the classic outfit with an added jacket and has become one of the most popular outfits in the franchise. While the ensemble is excellent, it's not particularly suitable for colder environments. Fortunately, Lara knows how to keep herself warm.
Lara finds a wetsuit in the Offshore Rig used by Fiamma Nera. While it helps her stay warm and dry in the cold sea depths, the fact that she is barefoot makes it perhaps not the best choice for navigating rusty shipwrecks.
The outfit, while simple, blends well with the gorgeous landscape of the South Pacific. Shorts are part of classic Lara’s signature attire, and what better to pair them with than a simple top. The outfit is ideal for the South Pacific's warm climate, ensuring quick drying after frequent swims.
Just before Lara is about to call it a night, Fiamma Nera goons, or what’s left of them, decide to invade Croft Manor. While the outfit isn’t practical for any situation other than lounging at home, it demonstrates that Lara can deliver deadly blows regardless of what she’s wearing. The Dagger of Xian, secured to the bathrobe's belt not only looks stylish but also adds an extra touch of irony to the fight, as the goons are so close yet so far from obtaining the Dagger.
The catsuit perfectly conceals Lara in the dark London streets and cityscapes. It's not just functional; it also channels the '90s, reminiscent of icons like Catwoman and Trinity from the Matrix.
While it might seem like an unusual choice for the top spot given that it’s a color swap of the Training 3 outfit, it remains a fan favorite. The blue cargo pants contrast perfectly with Nevada's warm orange landscape. The pants protect Lara's legs from the sharp rocky environment, and the top helps regulate the hot temperatures.
